  Arrive Chennai – Kanchipuram – Vellore

Tour guests will arrive at Chennai Airport as per scheduled flight. Upon arrival you will meet our Girikand Tour Manager and transfer from Chennai City to Vellore. En-route we visit Kanchipuram, also known as Kanchi, is an ancient city and once was the capital of Pallavas. On arrival visit Kanchi Kamakshi Temple; is an ancient Hindu Temple dedicated to Goddess Kamakshi, also known as Lalita, Shodashi and Maha Tripura Sundari, one of the highest aspects of Adi Shakti. Also we visit Shankaracharya Math; also called the Sri Kanchi Matham is a Hindu institution. On arrival at Vellore we visit Golden Temple Sripuram; Sripuram stands tall in the middle of a spiritual oasis with a star path that leads the devotees towards it. The temple is said to have been covered with real gold foil. Later, proceed to the hotel for check in. Overnight stay at Vellore.

Have breakfast in the hotel. We will proceed to Tiruchirappalli; Situated on the banks of the river Cauvery is the fourth largest city in Tamil Nadu. On arrival we visit Shri Rangnath Swami Temple; Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple, also known as Thiruvaranga Tirupati, is one of the most illustrious Vaishnava Temples in the country, dedicated to Ranganatha, a reclining form of Hindu deity, Bhagwan (God or Lord) Vishnu.   Tiruchirappalli (Trichy) – Madurai
Today after breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Madurai; is the cultural capital of Tamil Nadu. On arrival in Madurai, we visit the famous Meenakshi Temple, a striking feature of the Temple is the astonishing structure of the Hall of Thousand Pillars, an architectural masterpiece. When it is tapped, each pillar produces a different musical note. Overnight stay at Madurai.

  Madurai – Rameshwaram

Today after breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Rameshwaram; it is the place from where Lord Rama built a bridge across the sea to rescue Sita, from Ravana. This is also the place where Rama worshipped Lord Shiva to cleanse away the sin of killing Ravana. To reach Rameshwaram one has to cross the famous Pamban Bridge. On arrival in Rameshwaram, visit Ramanathaswamy Temple, which is one of the 12 Jyotirlinga shrines. Later, check in at hotel. Overnight stay at Rameshwaram.

  Rameshwaram – Thanjavur

Today early morning visit Dhanushkodi; an abandoned town on the south eastern tip of the Pamban Island, which is famous for its Historic and Myhtological relevance. Return to hotel for breakfast. After breakfast, we will check out from the hotel and proceed to Thanjavur; the ancient city of Cholas. On arrival we visit Brihadeeswara Temple; it is one of the largest Temples in India and is an example of Dravidian architecture during the Chola period. The Temple turned 1000 years old. The Temple is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the "Great Living Chola Temples". Later, check in at hotel. Overnight at stay Thanjavur.

  Thanjavur – Chidambaram – Puducherry

After breakfast at the hotel, we check out and proceed to Chidambaram; Thillai Nataraja Temple, also referred as the Chidambaram Nataraja Temple, is a Hindu Temple dedicated to Nataraja, form of Shiva as the Lord of dance. This Temple has ancient roots and a Shiva shrine existed at the site when the town was known as Thillai. Later proceed ahead to Puducherry or Pondicherry, a French colonial settlement in India until 1954, is now a Union Territory town bounded by the southeastern state. Its French legacy is preserved in its French Quarter, with tree-lined streets, mustard-colored colonial villas and chic boutiques. On arrival in Pondicherry proceed for The Heritage walk; We will take you through streets that are laid out in a well planned grid pattern. The buildings in the French section are easily recognizable by their ornate gateways arches, garden courtyards with multi-coloured bougainvilleas and the buildings themselves painted in pleasant hues of lime and peach. Have breakfast at hotel and proceed to visit Gingee; It is famous for its Gingee Fort, a popular tourist attraction. The Kon dynasty laid the foundations for the Gingee Fort in 1190 CE. The fort was later built by the Chola dynasty in the 13th century. During the reign of Chh Rajaram Maharaj it was the seat of the Maratha Empire for a few months. After sightseeing return to Puducherry and enjoy Seaside Promenade; Rock Beach is the popular stretch of beachfront in the city of Puducherry along the Bay of Bengal. Overnight stay at Pondicherry.

    ·The Tour Manager service will start from the First destination of the tour as mentioned in the itinerary.
    · Girikand Meals service will start from first day to last day as per the itinerary.
    ·Girikand do not provide meal service during To & Fro Air travel, Train travel, Bus travel or during transit halt.

    ADVANCE PREPARATION

    · In recent days everyone is becoming a frequent traveler now, we suggest that you make your own travel accessories kit to ensure a stress-free holiday.
    ·Please make sure to carry less and light luggage, use a four-wheel small or medium suitcase and please carry one suitcase per person. This will ensure that you will travel smartly and without any inconveniences.
    · We also recommend that you have one haversack or cross shoulder bag for your handy needs which will ensure that you are comfortable at the time of sightseeing and also easy for photography during your tour.
    · A Sunglasses and cap/hat are definitely something that you should have in your kit. 
    ·Though Girikand Travels provides all three meals such as Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Extra toppings as per the itinerary, you may carry dry snacks of your choice in small sealed packets for munching during travel journeys.
    ·During the monsoon or to destinations where it is rainy, if you are travelling, then please carry a small umbrella or poncho.
    · Please ensure that your footwear and clothing is suitable for the destination you are travelling to.
