  Arrive Bagdogra – Phuentsholing

Tour guests will arrive at Bagdogra Airport as per scheduled flight. Upon arrival you will meet our Girikand Tour Manager and transfer to Phuentsholing. On arrival check in at the hotel. Overnight at Phuentsholing.

  Phuentsholing – Thimphu

After breakfast, proceed for immigration formalities and once the formalities are done drive towards Thimphu (7,710 ft.) - The capital city of Bhutan. On arrival in Thimphu, we pass through National Assembly of Bhutan (view from outside) check in at the hotel. Overnight at Thimphu.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

  Thimphu Local sightseeing

After breakfast, today, we will proceed for local sightseeing in Thimphu. We visit Buddha Point: One of the biggest Buddha Statues in the world. It was constructed through donations from devotees all around the world. National Library: It is known for the storage of all kinds of ancient books of Buddhist culture, Folk Heritage Museum: This house is around 150 years old with a three storied, 19th century traditional house that provides you a glimpse of the Bhutanese lifestyle, and artifacts from the rural households. Motithang Takin Preserve - where you can see the national animal of Bhutan – Takin. Evening free time for shopping at Thimphu Handicraft Market witnesses the local handmade crafts. Overnight at Thimphu.

  Thimphu – Punakha

Today after breakfast, we will check out from the hotel & proceed to Punakha with an enroute halt at Dochula Pass. Here we can have a look and admire the Chorten, Mani wall, and prayer flags which decorate the highest point on the road. En-route visit Lamperi Royal botanical Park-The park is planted with 46 species of rhododendron of which 18 species are native to the park while the other 26 species are brought from other regions of Bhutan and planted here. Also visit, Punakha Dzong, which is Situated near the two rivers - the Pho Chu (Male River) and Mo Chu (Female River), the Punakha Dzong is one of the largest Dzongs in Bhutan. We pass through the Suspension bridge to arrive at Dzong. Punakha Dzong was initially called Druk Pungthang or Dechen Phodrang (Palace of Great Happiness), for many years until the second king of Bhutan assumed power. Punakha Dzong happened to be the seat of the Government for a long time. Take beautiful snaps from the basepoint of Wangdue Phodrang Dzong. Overnight at Punakha.

  Punakha – Paro

Early morning drive to Paro. Enroute visit Tamchog Lhakhang iron bridge-Tamchog Lhakhang sits across the Paro River. Lhakhang is approached by an iron chain suspension bridge. The Lhakhang and the bridge were constructed by a 13th Century Tibetan saint Thangthong Gyalpo. The Buddhist saint was also a blacksmith and an architect. Also, visit Drukgyel dzong (view point): Drukgyal Dzong was one of the four principal Dra Dzongs (defense fortress). Accounts differ on the founder of Drukgyal Dzong. It is said to have been caused by the fire when a butter lamp fell in the central tower. Only the ruins of giant walls, charred gigantic wooden posts, beams and watch towers can be seen of what was once an important fortress that repelled several invasions from the north. National Museum housed in the Ta Dzong (watchtower), there is an intriguing collection of artifacts that provide a wonderful introduction to the rich culture and heritage of the Kingdom. Overnight at Paro.

  Paro – Tiger's Nest – Paro

Today after the leisurely breakfast we will proceed for an excursion to the famous place called Takshang Monastery (Tiger Nest) (2hrs to 3hrs one-way hike) located at top of about 800-meter cliff in Paro. It takes slightly more than two hours to reach the monastery on foot from the nearest road point. The history is associated with the visit of Guru Padmasambhava, the Indian saint who came to Bhutan in the 8th Century AD. Later drive back to Paro. Evening visit local market at Paro. Enjoy cultural show at Paro. Overnight at Paro.

  Paro – Siliguri

Have breakfast in the hotel, proceed to Siliguri. Enroute we will visit Zangto Pelri, a Buddhist Temple in Phuentsholing. On arrival check in at the hotel. Overnight at Siliguri.

  Siliguri – Bagdogra Departure

After breakfast check out from the hotel. All tour guests will proceed to Bagdogra Airport and start the return journey to your hometown. Tour concludes.
