Agra - Fatehpur Sikri - Jaipur
After early breakfast check out from the hotel and proceed to visit Taj Mahal; it is an icon of love. It was commissioned in 1632 by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan (r. 1628–1658) to house the tomb of his favourite wife, Mumtaz Mahal; it also houses the tomb of Shah Jahan himself. Later proceed to Jaipur en-route visit Fatehpur Sikri; The world heritage site was the first planned city of the Mughals (Akbar -1556-1605), grandson of Babur, shifted his residence and court from Agra to Sikri, for a period of 13 years, from 1572 to 1585 to honour the Sufi Saint, Sheikh Salim Chishti, who resided here (in a cavern on the ridge). Today we will explore Jaipur City, visit the Birla Temple; originally known as Lakshmi Narayan Temple, Hawa Mahal; Wind Palace build for Women, Jantar Mantar; A UNESCO World Heritage site, a stone observatory, which is the largest of Jai Singh's five remarkable observatories, City Palace; the royal residence, known for its architectural blend of Indian, Mughal, Rajput and European styles. Later enjoy shopping in Jaipur City. After lunch we will leave for Amer fort sightseeing, en-route visit Panna Meena Ka Kund; the beautiful 16th-century stepwell lies in the shadow of a famous fortress. Amer Fort; Amer was the ancient capital of Kachwaha dynasty before Jai Singh founded Jaipur, also known for its Mughal influenced artistic style. In the evening enjoy Sound & Light Show at Amer Fort.
